General Diagnostic X-Rays
Depending on the exam your doctor has ordered, you may be asked
to change into a gown. You may also be asked to stand or lie down
for your exam. As a patient here, you will be asked to give a complete
history of symptoms, allergies, etc. The X-Ray tech will then explain
your procedure to you and answer any questions you might have. The length of time each exam takes will vary depending
on the type of test you are having.
For routine exams such as a chest x-ray, patients can expect to
spend only a minimal amount of time here, possibly only 10-15 minutes.
Scheduled exams however, usually are more in depth and therefore
are more lengthy, maybe taking 30-45 minutes. For our pediatric
patients, we welcome a parent to stay with their child during their
exam as long as pregnancy is not an issue. Our goal
is to always make this time of medical importance as
pleasant for the patient as possible.
